Alessandro Fanfoni joined Stogit (a subsidiary of Snam and the leading European player in gas storage) in 2015, initially being responsible for the waste management during the decomissioning phase of the old Bordolano Gas Storage Facility and subsequently as HSE Supervisor of the construction and commissioning phases for the New Bordolano Gas Storage Facility.

He joined since August 2020 Snam Corporate HSEQ Department, as OH&S Specialist providing support and coordination to all subsidiaries of SNAM.

Among the others he is in charge of the management of the GNL ITALIA’S Risk Assessment Document, of the training management process and providing QHSE support for National and International Business Development Projects.

He is one of the Team Leaders of the Lean Project for the optimization of Permit To Work System for Snam and its Italian subsidiaries.

He has worked as an R&D Director, senior R&D manager, active researcher and ICT specialist with experience in implementing and managing EC funded ICT projects (H2020, FP7, FP6, PSP-ICT, ENPI).

Dr. Aggelos Liapis – was a Marie Currie PostDoc on the three dimensional anatomical human research and training network, holds a PhD in Computer Mediated Collaborative Design Environments from the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, two Masters Degrees from the Universities of Sunderland and Hull in Network Systems and Computer Graphics and Virtual Environments, respectively, and a Bachelor’s degree in Software Development from Lincoln University in Hull.

Beyond his academic and industrial duties Dr. Liapis has authored several papers, journals, and books in the areas of CSCW, Collaborative Design, Semantics, etc.

Anyfantis Ioannis

Ioannis is Project Manager at EU-OSHA, working on a variety of OSH projects.
He holds significant experience as a consultant in the private sector, while he has also worked as scientific collaborator and research fellow at the University of Thessaly Greece and the European University Cyprus, teaching Occupational Safety and Health, Risk Management etc.

His research work has been published in scientific journals and presented in conferences.
In the past, he worked for several years as Health and Safety Inspector, for the Greek National Labour Inspectorate, conducting on-site inspections and accident investigations across different economic sectors.

He holds strong knowledge of National legislation, policy and European Directives on OSH while he has been the Greek representative to a number of SLIC (Senior Labour Inspector Committee of European Commission) Working Groups.

Christina Alexandropoulou is a driving force in Security, Safety, Risk & Compliance. She has been an influential voice in the Greek national media, identified as a top Woman in Security in Greece in the March 2020 Security Manager Magazine, was awarded by GDS Group as the GOLD Security Leader of the Year - Europe for 2021 and recognised recently in London as the #1 position of the IFSEC Security End User “Top Influencer in Security & Fire” for 2021.

As Vice Chair for the ASIS International Aegean Chapter, Steering Committee Member for OSAC in Greece, Member of the European Fire Safety Community and Working Group member for the project to develop a Fire Safety Rating Scheme for Buildings, Leader of the 1st Lean In Circle for Women In Security in Greece, Mentor for ASIS Women in Security (WIS) and WIS country leader, nominated for the 2021 GIWA in Hospitality (Greek International Women Award) and winner of the 2020 Gold Security Excellence Award in Greece, Christina is widely respected in the industry and her insights shape debate about Security issues.

She deploys 20 years’ industry experience encompassing security, fire safety, loss prevention, crisis management, senior management and leadership in corporate institutions and has participated in over 50 panels in the past year, acting as a Mentor for young female professionals.

In February 2022, she joined prominent Hospitality leaders at Expo 2020 Dubai for the first ever Global Tourism Resilience Day which was launched by the Global Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management Centre (GTRCMC).

Currently, Christina is the Director of Security for Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel in Greece and is actively engaged with the security industry while being a volunteer for many organizations focusing on recycling, stray animal welfare, cancer research and works closely with the UNESCO Southern Suburbs Chapter & SOS Children’s Villages in Greece.

She is well respected for Visionary Leadership in hybrid corporate risk, health, safety & security strategies and regularly presents at security conferences, focusing on sustainable security solutions – protecting people, planet and profit.

Cleo Varianou-Mikellidou

Dr Cleo Varianou-Mikellidou, PhD in Occupational Safety & Health, MSc in Safety, Health and Environment and BSc in Physics.

Her research interests focus on the risks from age-related changes and the application of the occupational health and safety management systems, ergonomics, teleworking, well-being.

She is currently a Research Fellow at CERIDES of European University Cyprus.

Cleo is also a Health and Safety Consultant since 2009. She has extensive experience in training, advising and consulting companies on how to maintain a safe and healthy working environment applying risk assessments, how to adhere to Health and Safety legislation, and how to gain certification according to the International standards ISO 9001, ISO 45001, EMAS, and ISO 14001.

Cleo has experience in risk assessment and is a licensed risk assessor from the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance.

She has also been involved in several European (H2020, DG Echo) and local projects related to OSH.

I have published 29 articles in international scientific journals and conference proceedings. I have over 20 years of experience in analytical chemistry and research.

I have worked for more than 15 years in various positions, most recently that of Manager of Health, Safety and Training, in a mining company, while I were Manager of the Quality Control Laboratory, Sealed Radioactive Sources Safety Officer, representative of the company in Scientific committee for monitoring of environmental terms.

I also have more than 20 years of educational experience at all levels of education.
In addition to supporting day-to-day productive processes for the Health, Safety and Training of workers, I supports the solution of various chemical problems in mining production processes, environmental protection and legislation.

Maria Alexiou studied Law in Athens, Greece and specialized in human rights and civil liberties in international and European law in Leicester University, U.K. She is member of the Athens Law Bar and Chair of the Board of Directors of CSR Hellas, a non- profit-making business association representing 140 companies (2012, www.csrhellas.org), as well as member of the Board of Directors of CSR Europe (2018, www.csrweurope.org).
She serves as Environmental, Social and Governance Advisor of TITAN Cement International (2020, www.titan-cement.com) at Group and regional level supporting management in embedding sustainability and social responsibility in strategy and decision-making, while she has served TITAN Group as a CSR Director since 2003.
She also sits at the Advisory Board of HIGGS (2017, www.higgs.org) supporting programs to empower civil society and social entrepreneurs in Greece.
Since 1996, Maria has worked with different sectors and multinational companies like NIKE and TITAN Cement International to form and implement collaborative initiatives leading to new integrated management practice and standards to monitor and assess both the impacts and the performance outcomes related to sustainability and inclusion in the short and the long term. She bears a vast experience regarding corporate sustainability and responsibility, as well as the trends and priorities in different regions and countries working for almost thirty years with for business and stakeholders both internal and external.
As a corporate expert, Maria is responsible to support the development of corporate standards to set targets and assess performance in an integrated and holistic approach, moving from the triple bottom line to sustainable and inclusive growth. Joining various Task Forces and Working Groups with UN Global Compact, for the development of reporting principles and the criteria of Communication on Progress, with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) for the development of Guidance regarding “labor rights” and “decent wage”, as well as the translation of the Glossary in Greek, with WBCSD and the Cement Sustainability Initiative for the “Social Capital Protocol” and the Guidelines for Sustainability in the Supply Chain of the Cement and Construction materials industry she also curries significant experience regarding the legal and operational challenges of the transition to new business models.
As an active member of the CSR Europe community, Maria has worked among else for the foundation of local business networks focusing on sustainability and social responsibility in Greece, but also in other countries Cyprus, Bulgaria, N. Macedonia, Kosovo and Albania, for the European Business Alliance for CSR (2007 – 2009), the European Pact for Youth (2015 – 2018) and the adoption by the Greek EU Presidency in 2014 of the EU NFRD in 2014 and the transposition of the directive in national laws.

She is currently Product Manager for Tourism & Hospitality and Lead Auditor for ISO Management Systems in TUV Hellas, the biggest Certification Body in Greece. She has a great experience in the fields of Food Safety, Environment, Quality and Sustainability especially in the tourism sector.

She has worked as Quality Manager for a Greek Hotel Chain where she was responsible for planning and supervising implementation and auditing for all Management Systems in Hotels.
