Alexandros Spyridonis, civil engineer AUTH, has experience in construction safety from 2001.
He has been involved in the design, tender, construction, hand over and operation / maintenance of structural projects. He has worked in infrastructure, heavy construction, clean energy, building and refurbishment projects.
He has undertaken the role of safety practitioner, coordinator and the role of HSE manager for prestigious main contractors in Greece and the United Arabic Emirates.

Alicia has been the Global Director Health & Safety at Japan Tobacco International S.A., since November 2018. She is responsible for providing leadership in the development and implementation of global standards and programs to properly manage and mitigate H&S related business risks, build awareness and develop a sustainable safety culture across the business. She has contributed to JT ESG ratings goals by improving 22 score points vs 2018 in the Occ. Health & Safety section of DJSI 2019, becoming industry best.
In her previous position as Corporate Manager Health & Safety at Philip Morris International Management S.A. she expanded the scope of the 2012 Mission Zero program beyond operations to reach the marketing and sales organization focusing on Fleet Safety and improving the safety culture. Maintained LTI Rate below 0.1 (industry best) and decreased collision rate to 0.3. The integrated approach to Fleet Safety granted PMI a Global Fleet Manager Award in 2018.
In her function as Global Product Stewardship - Environmental Management Practice & Sustainability Advisor to the VP Corporate Affairs at Dupont de Nemours International, she developed new Environmental Management and Energy Efficient offerings from the ground up, resulting in 2 contracts worth $30 million and a projected $60 million in additional deals by the end of 2011.
Alicia is a MSc. Mining Engineer by education and started her career in heavy industry (Mining, Oil & Gas, Metallurgy).

Mr Andrea Romeo
AGSco

Andrea graduated with a BSc in chemical Engineering and MSc in Process Safety Engineering, both at Politecnico di Milano.
Prior to Join AGSco, starting 2010 he has covered different roles at primary Companies and Institution (eni, Politecnico di Milano, RCS mediagroup and Snam) with experiences ranging from the field of HSE Training, Environmental dispersion modelling, OHS Management systems and HS Risk Analysis, Lean Six Sigma approach applied to staff business process reengineering.
Since late 2018 he moved to Albania for the start-up of Albanian Gas Service Company a Joint venture between Albgaz and Snam (respectively the Albanian and Italian Transmission System Operator) that is responsible for the Maintenance of the Albanian section of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline. Since then he is covering the position of HSE Manager with the mission to complete the HSE Set-up and ensure the capacity building of the Company in alignment with industry standards.
Starting late 2020, he has been also identified as Responsible of the Snam Competence Centre for Safety in the workplaces, coordinating the team of Snam experts with the aim to preserve, develop and sustain the Snam know-how about safety.

Anita Swiderek, a chemist and holder also an MSc in chemistry, works for the last 14 years with CHIPITA Poland, member of CHIPITA INTERNATIONAL.
She has has sucessfully handled various position in the organisation including laboratory, quality control, production, internal trainer.
In 2020, she is appointed Safety Inspector and today she holds the position of the Safety Manager. Anita describes herself to be an open-minded, emphatic and patient person.
She is also a fast-learner and loves challenges, and changing people’s minds and behaviors is a great challange. Servicing the organisation such a spectrum of positions had the opportunity to develop greatly soft skills needed to change an organisations culture and particularly the organisation’s safety culture.
She is actively involved with the ICSI (Involvement for Continuous Safety Improvement), a safety culture programme which has being implemented in CHIPITA INTERNATIONAL Group since 2018.

As a Senior Software Engineer he has been involved in the development of various medium and large scale information systems for the Greek Public, medical and medical insurance sectors.
In U.S.A. and Greece he has participated in the development and integration of real-time time air sovereignty tactical systems for the Defense sector.
He has been involved in European Space Agency / European Space Operations Centre projects, including performance optimization of Operational Simulators and simulation infrastructure software.
The last 5 years he has been leading the development of software products and solutions for Health & Safety, which include tools for Risk Assessment, Safety Inspections and monitoring all aspects of H&S projects’ life cycle in construction and industry.
In 2020 he co-founded Sigma Information Systems, a software company which focuses in the digitization of Health & Safety procedures and, beyond that, the overall digitalization of Health & Safety Management.

Ms Carmen Papadaki

Having an experience of more than 20 years in the field of health and safety, Carmen Papadaki is one of the main contributors of the founding of the MFOR Group in Greece since 1999 and currently the Managing Director of Management Force Romania.
In her prestigious career both as a manager and as a project manager, Miss Papadaki has accomplished several important projects such as the development and modernization of Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport – as a HSE coordinator in the project execution stage, the modernization of the Bucharest Biology Institute, Bunge-Construction of the vegetable oil extraction plant intended to process rapeseed, soybean and sunflower seeds-factory expansion, for Star Foods E.M. LLC - Installation of three production lines - PC14, RBS and TC, installation of electrical and mechanical equipment in Bunge-Prio Oil Factory, Building the new Chipita industrial complex in Romania, and many more. She also occupied the position of Safety Manager at the construction of combined cycle power plant with a capacity of 860 MW.
Moreover, Miss Papadaki is engaged with the development of MFOR Training Center and organization of IOSH and NEBOSH seminars in collaboration with internationally recognized partners.

Mr Chris Johnson
Pro Vice Chancellor
Queen’s University Belfast

Professor and Pro Vice Chancellor of Engineering and Physical Sciences at Queen’s University Belfast. Over the last 20+ years, he has authored more than 200 peer reviewed publications, including one of the first textbooks on Accident and Incident Reporting.
He has held fellowships from NASA, the US Air Force and Navy.
He is a Scientific Advisor to the EC SESAR JU on the future of air traffic management and helped author guidelines on incident reporting for EUROCONTROL and for the European Railway Agency.
He also helped the UK Department for Transport to develop the national cyber security Strategy for aviation.
In 2021, he is one of some fifteen expert witnesses retained to support the public inquiry into the Grenfell Tower fire.

Dr Christos Skliros

Dr. Skliros holds a Ph.D. in Systems Diagnostics from Cranfield University, a M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from the National Technical University of Athens, and B.Eng. in Aeronautical Engineering from the Hellenic Air Force Academy.
Dr. Skliros has held supervisory positions in aircraft maintenance departments in the Hellenic Air Force and has worked as a Researcher Associate in the Integrated Vehicle Health Management (IVHM) Centre in Cranfield University.
His research work in Cranfield University focused on the development of Artificial Intelligent algorithms for aircraft systems diagnosis, with emphasis on the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) and the Environmental Control System (ECS).
Dr. Skliros is currently the Head Engineer of Hellenic Drones S.A. and is the technical lead in research projects related with UAV technology.

Dr Cleo Mikelidou

Dr Cleo Varianou-Mikellidou, PhD in Occupational Safety & Health, MSc in Safety, Health and Environment and BSc in Physics. Her research interests focus on the risks from age-related changes and the application of the occupational health and safety management systems, ergonomics, teleworking, well-being. She is currently a Research Fellow at CERIDES of European University Cyprus.
Cleo has worked as a Health and Safety Consultant for six years. She has extensive experience in training, advising and consulting companies on how to maintain a safe and healthy working environment applying risk assessments, how to adhere to Health and Safety legislation, and how to gain certification according to the International standards ISO 9001, ISO 45001, EMAS, and ISO 14001.
Cleo has experience in risk assessment and is a licensed risk assessor from the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance. She has also been involved in several European (H2020, DG Echo) and local projects related to OSH.

Dr Elpidoforos Sotiriadis
Occupational Medicine Physician – Epidemiologist

Dr. Elpidoforos Soteriades is an Occupational Medicine Physician – Epidemiologist with extensive experience as a practicing consultant in the field of Occupational Medicine in Cyprus for more than 15 years.
He is also a researcher and an academic teacher and he is currently an Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Public Health at the Open University of Cyprus, while he holds also an appointment as a collaborator at the department of Environmental Health, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
He has published more than 90 scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals and has been cited by more than 6000 academic colleagues.
Dr. Soteriades continues to be active in state-of-the-art research in Epidemiology, Public Health, Environmental Health and Occupational Health.
He has also published extensively on different aspects of cardiovascular diseases in firefighters, infectious diseases, tobacco control, obesity, cancer, mental health, occupational stress as well as additional research topics.

Hollie is an expert in using the HSE Safety Climate and Stress Indicator tools and supports customers on a daily basis to ensure they are getting the most out of the system.
She has vast experience in sales and has worked across tourism, construction and retail sectors.
Over the last five years Hollie has lived in Canada and has travelled extensively, this has given her an excellent understanding of the requirements different cultures and countries face.

Dr Ioannis Dokas

Dr. Ioannis M. Dokas is Associate Professor of Systems Safety Engineering at the Civil Engineering Department of the Democritus University of Thrace. He is also a Member of the Board of Directors of Management Force Group.
He has a Diploma in Civil Engineering and a Ph.D. in the provision of early warning services in sanitary landfills with the utilisation of web-based expert systems.
He has been awarded two times with EU Marie Currie fellowships and worked for eight years in leading German and Irish Research Institutes.
His research is focused but not limited to systems safety, hazard analysis, accident models and investigation techniques, early warning systems and services, proactive risk management, and crisis management.
Ioannis has managed research projects of more than 2.8 Million Euros in total and has more than 50 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and international conferences.

Mr John Stirling

John Stirling founded Stirling Reid Associates Limited in 1990. He is a former British Army officer with extensive practical experience of emergency response, preparation of contingency plans, command of specialist training teams and intelligence and security issues affecting oil and gas industry operations in challenging security environments.
During his time with Stirling Reid, he has carried out security assessments and run training and exercises throughout the European Community, Africa, Russia, Middle East and Asia Pacific.

Ms Majlinda Mishaxhi

Majlinda Mishaxhiu – Mina, is an experienced Health and Safety Consultant.
She is holding a Master Degree in Civil Engineering following her studies in the Polytechnic University of Tirana on 1989.
Mina has over 20 years of experience in the construction sector and over 10 years in the HS field. She started as a site civil engineer in different industrial sites in Albania. After completing her task as Project Manager during the construction of Antea Cement factory in Thumane, she was assigned Health and Safety Manager of the Antea Cement Plant during the operation phase, holding the role for five years.
She was involved in the oil and gas industry first as Health, Safety and Security Manager of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline in Albania, for almost five years, and then Health, Safety and Environmental Lead for the Mozambique LNG Project for 15 months.

Ms Maria Alexiou

Maria Alexiou studied Law in Athens, Greece and specialized in human rights and civil liberties in international and European law in Leicester University, U.K. She is member of the Athens Law Bar and Chair of the Board of Directors of CSR Hellas, a non- profit-making business association representing 140 companies (2012, www.csrhellas.org), as well as member of the Board of Directors of CSR Europe (2018, www.csrweurope.org).
She serves as Environmental, Social and Governance Advisor of TITAN Cement International (2020, www.titan-cement.com) at Group and regional level supporting management in embedding sustainability and social responsibility in strategy and decision-making, while she has served TITAN Group as a CSR Director since 2003.
She also sits at the Advisory Board of HIGGS (2017, www.higgs.org) supporting programs to empower civil society and social entrepreneurs in Greece.
Since 1996, Maria has worked with different sectors and multinational companies like NIKE and TITAN Cement International to form and implement collaborative initiatives leading to new integrated management practice and standards to monitor and assess both the impacts and the performance outcomes related to sustainability and inclusion in the short and the long term. She bears a vast experience regarding corporate sustainability and responsibility, as well as the trends and priorities in different regions and countries working for almost thirty years with for business and stakeholders both internal and external.
As a corporate expert, Maria is responsible to support the development of corporate standards to set targets and assess performance in an integrated and holistic approach, moving from the triple bottom line to sustainable and inclusive growth. Joining various Task Forces and Working Groups with UN Global Compact, for the development of reporting principles and the criteria of Communication on Progress, with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) for the development of Guidance regarding “labor rights” and “decent wage”, as well as the translation of the Glossary in Greek, with WBCSD and the Cement Sustainability Initiative for the “Social Capital Protocol” and the Guidelines for Sustainability in the Supply Chain of the Cement and Construction materials industry she also curries significant experience regarding the legal and operational challenges of the transition to new business models.
As an active member of the CSR Europe community, Maria has worked among else for the foundation of local business networks focusing on sustainability and social responsibility in Greece, but also in other countries Cyprus, Bulgaria, N. He is a 25-year veteran of the Hellenic fire service. He brings a wide variety of experiences and a sincere passion for his instruction and service. His expertise addresses the intersection of first-hand operational experience in all-hazards mitigation, crisis management policy, as well as and functional elements of communications. This includes crisis management, incident command systems for large events (e.g., Olympics2004) and catastrophes, incident action plans, as well as the development and execution of train-the-trainer programs.
Michalis’s strengths also include all-risk and all-incident leadership and team building in a crisis environment requiring rapid setup. In particular, he excels in training key stakeholders on how to manage and command.
